Technician Entrance, Parking and Check In

Allow extra travel time! Access routes to the venue are limited and weekday traffic is heavy during commute hours.
PARKING & CHECK-IN
You must check in with IATSE 134 when you arrive at Shoreline. Please note the dates and locations of parking/ check-in below, as they will change throughout the event.

If you have not completed payroll paperwork with Live Nation, or if you have not worked for Live Nation within the last year-to-date, please arrive early and bring (2) two valid forms of Government issued Identification (acceptable forms: Passport, Driver’s License, Social Security Card, State I.D., Birth Certificate). Then proceed to the “PAPERWORK PICK UP” line to retrieve forms for completion. Once complete, proceed to the “IATSE 134 CHECK-IN & PAPERWORK DROP OFF” line.

Please state at check-in if you need to change your address on file, and/or, your tax deductions.
Once you are checked-in, proceed to LOT D1 where you will be directed to your Steward/Head of Department and assigned your work duties for the day.

SAFETY & HEALTH
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Employer supplied Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is limited. Please consider providing your own:
• Hard Hat (ANSI Z89.1 approved).
• Hi Vis Safety Vest Class 2 or 3.
• Appropriate working attire and closed toed shoes.
• Heavy equipment operators must have proof of certification.
• Stagehands with required skills sets must bring proper tools. See recommended tool list.

IN CASE OF INJURY:
Step 1 – Check-in with Steward
Step 2 – See on-site Medic
Step 3 – Fill out appropriate paperwork

GENERAL RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT
• Credentials provided must be worn and visible at all times.
• Social media posts in relation to the event and scope of work are not permitted for any reason. No photos/videos of structures, scenic elements, documents, signage, talent, and/or any other event or venue related content shall be allowed at any time.
• No skateboards or bicycles are allowed anywhere on-site for the whole duration of the event.
• No overnight parking allowed on-site or in lots adjacent to Shoreline Amphitheatre. Failure to comply will result in towing of vehicle at owner’s expense.
• No camping or loitering allowed at any time.
• It is expected for all IATSE crew members to follow California Laws regarding safety, harassment and workplace conduct. Overall professionalism while on-site is required and expected.

MEALS/BEVERAGES
All meals will be provided on-site. Your Steward will provide daily meal tickets and advise meal and break times and locations.
• April 21st – May 8th: Catering is located on the Hospitality Deck Backstage
• May 9th – May 25th: Location of catering will be determined based on location of work. Please confirm with your Steward.
It is strongly recommended that you bring a refillable water bottle to ensure proper hydration throughout run of event. Facility will provide drinking water on site.

All clothes should be clean, no tears or stains; shirts should be buttoned up, pants pulled up; no open toed shoes.   Work Clothes: Jeans or other work pants; shorts or sleeveless shirts may not be acceptable in certain circumstances.   Show Blacks: Same as work clothes but black; jeans or cargo pants, small logos are acceptable.   Tech Blacks: Collared shirt (polo or button up), small logos may be acceptable; unfaded black jeans or Dockers; black shoes or sneakers.   Dress Blacks: Button up black shirt, no logos; black dockers or dress slacks, polishable shoes.   PPE:   Hard hats: Ansi Z89.1 compliant. Chin straps required for all climbers   High Vis: Class 2 or 3

From the Outline of Workers Obligations   A WORKER AT THE JOB SITE SHALL HAVE THE REQUIRED TOOLS A Basic Hand Tools required: Hammer, 8” Adjustable Wrench, Slotted & Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers, Wire Cutters, Knife, and Gloves, Pen or Pencil and Flashlight. Other specific tools may be required for other specifically assigned work (i.e., riggers, A/V techs, etc.) If this is the case, the appropriate steward will notify you. Steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses (if you normally wear glasses are strongly recommended and are the responsibility of the worker. Recommended Tools include: Tool Belt or Pouch, Battery Powered Screwdriver/Drill, Measuring Tape, Socket, Open End, Box End and/or Ratchet Wrenches. Failure to have the required tools may result in your replacement on the call.
