Flint has a modest shopping center (The Oaks) across the street. There is a Hobbe's (semi-vegetarian), TOGO's (Deli), Sushi, and a juice bar.

When classes are in session,  food is available on campus.

Everything else is car travel.

BTW - Don't forget that Cupertino is the home of Apple Computer.  Those of you that live by your Mac,  a trip to Mecca (the Apple Company Store) is a required pilgrimage.  Ask any IA member for directions.
